The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Academy announces the opening of applications for those who aspire to be an NBI agent.
NBI Academy is located in Baguio. The training is the start of agents’ evolution as law enforcement officers. After the training, agents are authorized to conduct crime detection and investigation.

What NBI agents do?
The NBI agents have the following powers and functions:
(a) Undertake investigations under the mandate of the NBI;
(b) Conduct searches, arrests, and seizures by existing laws, rules and regulations;
(c) Take and require sworn statements of any person or persons so summoned with cases under investigation;
(d) Administer oaths in cases under investigation; and
(e) Such other functions as may be assigned by the NBI Director.
Who are qualified to be an NBI agent?
QUALIFICATION OF AGENTS
- Citizen of the Philippines
- Of good moral character
- A member of the Philippine Bar or a holder of a Baccalaureate Degree who passed the necessary government licensure examination relevant to the investigative functions of the NBI
- No pending criminal, civil or administrative charge/s and has never been convicted of any crime
- At least 25 but not exceeding 35 years old
- At least 5’5 in height for male and 5’3 for female
- Vision within normal range
- No tattoo marks or pierced ears
- Undergone and passed the NBI Basic Agents Training Course

Requirements For NBI Agents
DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS FOR AGENT APPLICANTS
- Letter of Intent
- Personal Data Sheet (PDS)-two (2) original copies CS Form No.212 revised 2017 with attached Work Experience Sheet and recent passport-size picture with a complete name tag and signature over printed name. The picture must be taken within the last six (6) months. Computer-generated or photocopied picture is not accepted.
- Authenticated copy of Certificate of Eligibility, Board/Bar Rating, and License-two (2) authenticated copies each
- Authenticated copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Certified True Copy of College Diploma
- Original copy of Certificate of Live Birth
- Original copy of Certificate of Marriage (if married)
- Original copy of NBI Clearance
- Original copy of Court Clearances from RTC and MTC and Clearance from the Office of the Prosecutor where the applicant resides
- Performance Rating in the last rating period (if applicable)
- Latest and duly filed Income Tax Return (ITR/W2) (if employed)
- Latest and duly filed Statement of Assets Liabilities and Networth (SALN) (if Government Employee)
- Two (2) pieces 2×2 colored ID picture w/ white background
