The Philippines, a country with a diverse economic landscape, has been actively working to address income inequality and improve the livelihoods of its citizens. One significant measure taken to achieve this goal is the establishment of minimum wage rates in various regions.
In 2024, the Region 3 minimum wage rate has been updated to promote economic equity further and provide a decent standard of living for workers in this region.
Region 3 Overview
The region, also known as Central Luzon, is one of the Philippines’ 17 regions. It is situated in the heart of Luzon, the country’s largest island, and is known for its strong economic activities, agriculture, manufacturing, and services.
Comprising seven provinces (Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, and Zambales) Central Luzon plays a vital role in the national economy. The region is home to various industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, and information technology, making it a significant contributor to the country’s economic growth.

Recent Minimum Wage(2024)
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – III approved 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝗥𝗕𝗜𝗜𝗜-𝟮𝟱, which will increase the daily minimum wage for private sector workers in Central Luzon by 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟱𝟬.𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟲𝟲.𝟬𝟬. The adjustment will be implemented in two tranches: the first tranche (Php 25.00 – Php 41.00) upon effectivity, and the second tranche (Php 25.00) on April 16, 2025.
Effective 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 (1st tranche), the new daily minimum wage rates in Region III will be as follows:
• Non-agriculture sector: Php 475.00 – Php 525.00
• Agriculture sector: Php 460.00 – Php 495.00
• Retail and service establishments: Php 410.00 – Php 515.00
Additionally, upon effectivity of the 2nd tranche on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the daily minimum wage rates in Region III will be:
• Non-agriculture sector: Php 500.00 – Php 550.00
• Agriculture sector: Php 485.00 – Php 520.00
• Retail and service establishments: Php 435.00 – Php 540.00

Previous Minimum Wage (2023)
𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝗥𝗕𝗜𝗜𝗜-𝟮𝟰 grants a P40 wage increase in Region III (Central Luzon). The new minimum wage rates in Region III will now range from P449-P500 in the non-agriculture sector; P422-P470 in the agriculture sector; and P384-P489 for retail and service establishments effective October 16, 2023.
