The PNP CORES has 6 application steps:

  1. Personal Information
  2. Family Background
  3. Educational Background
  4. Eligibility and Special Skills
  5. Clearances and Uploading of Documents
  6. Unit Selection

Step 1: Personal Information:

The first step of the PNP CORES application process involves providing personal information. Applicants are required to enter essential details such as their full name, date of birth, gender, contact information, and address. This step establishes the foundation of the application and ensures accurate identification and contact throughout the process.

Step 2: Family Background

In this section, applicants are asked to provide information about their family background. This includes details about their parent’s names, occupations, and educational background. By collecting this information, the PNP aims to gain insights into the applicants’ upbringing and family environment, which can provide valuable context for evaluating their suitability for a career in law enforcement.

Step 3: Educational Background

Education plays a crucial role in shaping an individual’s abilities and knowledge. PNP CORES recognizes this by requiring applicants to provide comprehensive details about their educational background. This includes information about their schools, degrees obtained, major subjects, and academic achievements. Accurate documentation of educational qualifications is crucial for assessing an applicant’s eligibility for various positions within the police force.

Step 4: Eligibility and Special Skills

To join the PNP, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria and possess special skills that align with the demands of law enforcement. In this step, applicants are required to disclose their eligibility details, such as citizenship, age, height, weight, and physical fitness. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to highlight any special skills or certifications they possess, such as proficiency in a foreign language, computer literacy, or technical expertise. These skills can give applicants a competitive edge during the selection process.

Step 5: Clearances and Uploading of Documents

To ensure the integrity of the application process, PNP CORES requires applicants to secure various clearances and upload essential documents. This includes obtaining a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance, police clearance, barangay clearance, and a medical certificate. Additionally, applicants must submit scanned copies of their identification documents, educational certificates, and other relevant credentials. The online platform simplifies this step by allowing applicants to upload the required documents directly to their application profiles, reducing the need for physical submission and paperwork.

Step 6: Unit Selection

The final step of the PNP CORES application process involves unit selection. Here, applicants are given the opportunity to express their preferences regarding the unit they would like to join within the PNP. Units may include the Special Action Force (SAF), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Traffic Management Group (TMG), or other specialized units. While the final unit assignment is subject to availability and the needs of the organization, applicants’ preferences are taken into consideration during the selection process.
