How much is the Salary of Pilots in the Philippines?

Pilots are one of those careers that have high compensation benefits, it is not only the prestige of having such a highly decorative uniform that you can strut while walking at the airport or having a line of stewardess following you but also the honor of giving service to the people while having the right compensation and benefits that accompanies it.

Pilot Salary in the Philippines

Pilot earnings vary depending on the Airline like Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines, and Philippine Airlines. These are the best estimates according to Pilots.

  •    First Class Officer – Php 175,000 – Php 180,000
  •    Captain Pilot – Php 275,000 – Php 280,000
  •     Senior Captain – Php 350,000 and above

Pilot salaries vary drastically based on experience, skills, gender, or location. A First Class Officer usually takes home Php 80,000 to Php 120,000 per month. Take note that a pilot’s earnings also depend on his/her ratings and the number of flight hours earned. Pilots also receive additional compensation in the form of transportation and living costs, clothing, meal, and hotel allowances, and more.

I remember Frank Abegnale in the movie “Catch Me If You Can” when he post as a co-pilot he loves the prestige of being a Pilot and of course he does it with confidence. While most people only dreamt of being a pilot, a conman has done it with great style. First posing as a student reporter to know the ins and outs of being a pilot until such time he had the opportunity to get a hand of the uniform of a real Pilot.

Some people would do everything just to get the dream that they are always longing for and for some, they already had the opportunity to be one but don’t have the right mindset to make it straight. But nonetheless being a Pilot is an honorable career that entails a special kind of person and skills.
