Officer Candidate Course (OCC)
The OCC is a one-year course that prepares you mentally, physically, and emotionally to become an army officer. Upon graduation, you will be commissioned as an Army 2nd lieutenant in the Regular Force, AFP.
Thru the Officer Preparatory Course (OPC)
If you are already an Army 2nd Lieutenant in the Reserved Force, AFP on inactive status, six-month OPC prepares you for active duty in the Regular Force, AFP.

- a. NEW AGE REQUIREMENT 20 – 25 years of age upon admission (no age waiver);
- b. Baccalaureate degree holder;
- c. Filipino;
- d. Height of not less than 5’0” ft (152.4cm) both male and female but not more than 6’4” ft (193.04cm);
- e. Physically and mentally fit;
- f. Enlisted Personnel can apply even without completing one (1) term.
- g. Single WITHOUT Child and Never been married

CANDIDATE SOLDIER COURSE
- a. 18 – 25 years old
- b. 72 units in college

- f. Height of not less than 5’0” ft (152.4cm) both male and female but not more than 6’4” ft (193.04cm);

Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT)
To become a part of the military, one must pass the AFPSAT or the AFP Service Aptitude Test. It is conducted by the Army recruitment office. As well as the Special Written Exam (SWE) and the Army Qualifying Exam (AQE).
You need to bring the following requirements for the AFPSAT:
- Transcript of Records and College Diploma (original for college graduate)
- High school Diploma, Form 137A, certification of Skills for High School graduates
- Original Birth Certificate (NSO)
- Valid Identification Card
- 2×2 Picture
