How to apply as Philippine Army Reservist?

This article is a guide for those who want to join the Army Reserve Command as an Army Reservist.

The Army Reserve Command is a Combat Service Support Unit that solely administers the recruitment, training, and management of Army reservists in the country to assist in socio-economic development, environmental protection, and disaster and rescue operations.

Qualifications

ENLISTMENT

• Filipino citizen
• Physically and mentally fit for military training
• At least high school graduate
• 18 years old and above
• Non-graduates of Basic ROTC Training

Requirements/Documents:

a. Duly accomplished Reservist Information Data Sheet

b. Affidavit of No pending case

c. Picture (whole body, post card size, formal or semi-formal)

d. NSO/PSA Birth certificate (attach receipt)

e. Drug Test Result

f. Command Clearance (will be issued upon submission of Personnel History Statement, Barangay Clearance, Mayor’s Clearance, PNP clearance, NBI Clearance, CFI/RTC Clearance, Local PNP Clearance)

OFFICER

• Filipino Citizen
• Age not less than 21 years and not more than 64 years old
• Graduate of Baccalaureate Degree/Honorary Degrees and are graduated of Advance ROTC or Probationary Officers Training Course or;
• Degree holder who is a graduate of Basic ROTC; or
• Deserving Non-commissioned Officers /Petty Officers; or
• Key and technical personnel of AFP Affiliated Reserve Units; or
• Graduate of Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) conducted by the National Defense College of the Philippines; or
• Elected government official and Presidential appointee who are degree holders; or
• Licensed Professionals

Requirements/Documents

a. Duly accomplished Application Form for Commission in the Reserve Force

b. Affidavit of No pending case

c. Picture (whole body, Post Card Size)

d. Personal Data Statement or Resume or SOI (for Active Enlisted Reservist)

e. NSO/PSA Birth certificate (attach receipt)

f. Baccalaureate Diploma and Transcript of Records (authenticated by school registrar)

g. Comelec Certificate for elected officials

h. AFP Aptitude Test Battery

i. Certification/Diploma of Advance ROTC

j. Certification/Diploma of Merits of POTC Graduate

k. Physical examination report

l. Drug Test Result

m. Command Clearance (will be issued upon submission of Personnel History Statement, Barangay Clearance, Mayor’s Clearance, PNP clearance, NBI Clearance, CFI/RTC Clearance, Local PNP Clearance)

n. Other documents required by specific branches (Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test, Physical Exam)

How to apply as Philippine Army Reservist?

• Check if you are qualified and prepare all the needed requirements. Compile all your required documents in three (3) folders with one (1) original and (2) authenticated photocopies.
• Submit your documents to your nearest Community Defense Centers. There are currently 82 CDCs throughout the country.
