The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Fort General Gregorio H. del Pilar, Baguio City, trains future officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). The first step to becoming a PMA cadet is passing the PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE).
PMA Entrance Exam 2026 Results Are Out
The PMA has released the Official List of Successful Examinees, PMA Entrance Examination 2026 (PDF, 34 pages). According to the academy, 1,216 of 25,452 qualified examinees passed, a passing rate of 4.78%, down from 5.28% in 2025.

How to Check the PMA Entrance Exam Results
- Open the official PDF list on the PMA website: pma.edu.ph/res/pdf/pmaeepassers2026.pdf.
- Names are arranged alphabetically (surname first) with the applicant number and exam site. Press Ctrl+F (or “Find in page” on mobile) and type your surname.
- The PMA also posts the list on its official Facebook page, Philippine Military Academy “Face-Bok”.
What Happens After Passing
Passing the entrance exam does not by itself guarantee admission. The 1,216 passers will go through further screening from October 2026 to April 2027, including a Complete Physical Examination, Medical Assessment and Neuropsychiatric Evaluation. Those selected will form PMA Class 2031, tentatively set to enter the academy in May 2027.
Under the official application form, applicants must also pass the Complete Physical and Medical Examination by the AFP Medical Board Nr 1, and the Physical Fitness Test and Aptitude for the Service Interview.
PMA Entrance Exam 2027 (Class 2032): Not Yet Announced
As of October 27, 2026, the PMA has not announced the application period or exam dates for the next entrance exam (PMA Class 2032). For reference, the online application for the 2026 exam opened on March 1, 2026 (PMA Facebook announcement), and exams were held from July to September. Wait for the official announcement on pma.edu.ph and the PMA Facebook page. We will update this page once the 2027 schedule is released.
PMA Entrance Exam 2026 Schedule (Completed)
The 2026 exam was held at 48 testing centers nationwide, by regional cluster:

The final leg on September 5–6 was held at 13 sites: Laoag City; Tuguegarao City; Bontoc, Mountain Province; Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; the PMA campus in Baguio City; Lingayen, Pangasinan; Cabanatuan City; Tarlac City; City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Tabuk City; Cauayan City, Isabela; Baler, Aurora; and Olongapo City (PNA; Good Morning Baguio).
Qualifications for Admission
Based on the PMA’s official Cadetship Application Form:
- Natural-born or naturalized Filipino citizen
- Physically fit and of good moral character
- Has never been married nor pregnant, and has no legal obligation to support a child or children
- At least a high school graduate (Grade 12) with a general average of 85% or higher (current Grade 12 students may apply using their Grade 11 GWA, per the form)
- No administrative or criminal case
- Not less than 17 and not a day older than 22 years old on the day of admission
- Barefoot height of not less than 5’0″ but not more than 6’4″, for both male and female
- Must pass the PMA Entrance Examination
- Must pass the Complete Physical and Medical Examination by the AFP Medical Board Nr 1
- Must pass the Physical Fitness Test and the Aptitude for the Service Interview
Correction: earlier versions of this article listed only a 5-foot minimum height. The current official form sets a range of 5’0″ to 6’4″.
Medical Disqualifications
The official application form lists the following:
- Color blindness
- Any communicable disease
- Physical deformities
- Scoliosis
- Tattoos
- Other medical conditions as determined by the AFP Medical Board Nr 1
Application Requirements
Submit these together with the application form:
- Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Form 137 (SF 10) / Form 138 (SF 9) / Report Card / Transcript of Records showing your latest GWA
- 2″ x 2″ ID photo with white background, taken within the last six months
How to Apply
1. Online
Apply through the PMA Online Cadet Application System at admission.pma.edu.ph (also linked from the PMA application page). Applicants with a pending application can log in to their existing accounts. The application and the exam are free, per the PMA FAQs.
2. By Mail
Download and print the PMA Cadetship Application Form (PDF), fill it out, attach two 2″ x 2″ photos and the requirements, and mail it to:

3. Walk-In
Walk-in applicants may take the exam on exam day, but they get the lowest priority because proctors bring a limited number of exam materials. Bring an accomplished application form downloaded from the PMA website and the other requirements (PMA FAQs; PNA). What to Bring on Exam Day
- Exam permit (for online and mail applicants)
- Photocopy of birth certificate and grades
- 2″ x 2″ ID picture with white background, taken within the last six months
- Valid ID (preferably school ID or driver’s license)
- At least two No. 2 pencils
In 2026, examinees were required to wear a white T-shirt, pants and rubber shoes (PNA). Be at the exam center on or before 7:00 AM. The morning (7 AM to 11 AM) is for administrative processing, such as filling out forms and a limited physical exam, and the exam proper runs from 12:00 noon to 4:30 PM (PMA FAQs).

The PMAEE measures mental ability in three areas (PMA):
- Math: Algebra and Geometry
- English: Grammar, Composition, and Reading and Comprehension
- Special PMA Exam (SPMA): Verbal and Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Events
- 3.2 km run
- Push-ups
- Sit-ups
- Pull-ups (male) / Flex-arm hang (female)
