Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Recruitment 2026: Qualifications, Requirements and How to Apply

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is the country’s maritime law enforcement agency. It protects our seas and coastlines and ensures maritime safety and security.

Each year, the PCG, through the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC), opens recruitment for Commissionship (officers) and Enlistment (non-officers) through an online application.

Recruitment status

The 2026 nationwide online registration has already closed. News reports put the registration period at January 20 to February 20, 2026. Watch the official CGHRMC Facebook page and the PCG online portal, cg-hrmc.com, for the next cycle.

Qualifications

These are the qualifications listed on the PCG online application portal (ROAP).

Commissionship: General Line Officers (GLO)

• Natural-born Filipino citizen
• Good moral character
• Physically and mentally qualified
• Single
• At least 5’4″ (162.56 cm) for males and 5’2″ (157.48 cm) for females
• Bachelor’s degree holder
• Any of these: Civil Service Professional eligibility, PRC license requiring a bachelor’s degree, MARINA license for deck or engineering officers, or CAAP pilot license
• 21 to 28 years old at the date of appointment

Technical Line Officers I (TLO-I): physicians, dentists and veterinarians

• Natural-born Filipino citizen, good moral character, physically and mentally qualified
• Single or married
• At least 5’4″ for males and 5’2″ for females
• Board passer in your profession
• 26 to 36 years old upon appointment

Technical Line Officers II (TLO-II): nurses, psychologists, psychometricians and similar professions

• Natural-born Filipino citizen, good moral character, physically and mentally qualified
• Single
• At least 5’4″ for males and 5’2″ for females
• Board passer in your profession
• 21 to 28 years old upon appointment

Enlistment (non-officers)

• Natural-born Filipino citizen, good moral character, physically and mentally qualified
• Single
• At least 5’4″ for males and 5’2″ for females
• Bachelor’s degree, at least 72 college units in one course, or K-12 graduate
• Any of these: Civil Service Sub-Professional eligibility, other license from PRC, CAAP or MARINA, or at least TESDA NC II
• 18 to 28 years old at the date of appointment

Initial requirements

Prepare original and scanned copies (PDF) of these. Final requirements follow each cycle’s announcement.

• PSA birth certificate
• PSA CENOMAR
• Transcript of Records or Form 137-A
• Certificate of eligibility or license
• National Police Clearance and NBI clearance
• 2×2 photo with white background and name tag (JPEG/PNG)

Online application tips

• Use a desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection, and Google Chrome.
• Have a valid email address and mobile number.
• Create only one account per applicant.
• Use your real name. Nicknames are not allowed, and wrong information can invalidate your application.
• Choose your preferred processing area (Human Resource Management Unit) during registration.
• After registering, log in to track your application and wait for verification and exam updates.

Salary and benefits

PCG personnel follow the base pay schedule for military and uniformed personnel. Under Executive Order No. 107 (s. 2025), the 2026 monthly base pay is ₱31,151 for an Apprentice Seaman (entry enlisted rank), ₱40,284 for a Probationary Ensign, and ₱46,020 for an Ensign.
