Napolcom Exam Schedule 2025: PNP Exam Requirements, Coverage

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) is responsible for the conduct of Police Examinations for aspiring patrolmen/women (PNP Entrance Exam) as well as those who are already in the service (pnp promotional exam).

The Napolcom Exam is held twice a year in different testing centers nationwide. If you are planning to enter the PNP, the first thing you should do is pass the Napolcom PNP Entrance Exam.

However, if you are already a Licensed Criminologist, or pass the board exam and obtain a Second Level Eligibility, then you don’t need to take this exam anymore and you can apply directly to the PNP Online Application Portal.

Napolcom will open Online Registration from August 18, 2025 – August 22, 2025, for the nationwide conduct of the PNP Entrance Examination (PNPE) and the Promotional Examination (PromEx) on October 19, 2025.

Napolcom Online Application

The NAPOLCOM Online Scheduling System (NOSS) will open on August 18, 2025 at exactly 12:00 PM and will close on August 22, 2025, at exactly 11:59 PM.

Before initiating the online registration process, applicants must ensure they have the following documents ready for upload:

  1. One (1) Valid Government-Issued ID: Applicants are required to upload a scanned copy (in JPEG format) of a valid government-issued ID. Eligible IDs include the National ID, PNP ID, Passport, Postal ID, Driver’s License, PRC ID, and more. This ID is essential for identification and validation.

Online Registration Procedure

The online registration process is designed to be user-friendly and efficient. Here are the steps to follow:

A. Go to NAPOLCOM Online Scheduling System link https://www.napolcom-noss.org/

B. Fill out the required data and review the same;

C. Upload:

  1. For Civilian applicant – One (1) valid government-issued I.D. with applicant’s date of birth (National, Passport, Postal, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.).

  2. For PNP member – PNP ID

D. Receive a Notice indicating the date of processing of his/her application; and,

E. Take a screenshot of or print out the Notice to be presented during the face-to-face processing at the Regional Offices concerned.

Application Procedure

Applicants with a confirmed processing schedule should proceed to the Regional Office for the processing of his/her application, including the filling out of the Index Card (to be provided by the Regional Office) with the following requirements:

A. PNP Entrance Exam (Civilian)

  1. Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
  2. Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in white shirt and white
    background) with name tag (first, middle, and last names);
  3. One (1) valid government-issued ID with the applicant’s date of birth
    (National, Passport, Postal, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.);
  4. Photocopy (present the original) or Certified Xerox Copy of ANY of the
    following:
    . Transcript of Records
    · Diploma
    · Certificate of Graduation
  5. One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth
    of mailing stamp; and,
  6. Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00).

B. PNP Entrance Exam (Patrolman/Patrolwoman with Temporary Status of
Appointment)

  1. Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
  2. Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in PNP uniform with white
    background) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names);
  3. PNP ID;
  4. One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth
    of mailing stamp; and,
  5. Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00).

C. Promotional Exams (PO4th, PO3rd, PO2nd and PO1st Class)

  1. Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
  2. Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in PNP uniform with white
    background) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names);
  3. PNP ID;
  4. One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth
    of mailing stamp; and,
  5. Examination Fee:
    a. Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00) PO4th Class
    b. Four Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP450.00) PO3rd Class
    c. Five Hundred Pesos (PhP500.00) PO2nd Class
    d. Six Hundred Pesos (PhP600.00) PO1st Class.

IMPORTANT:
APPLICANT MUST BE AT THE NAPOLCOM REGIONAL OFFICE ON HIS/HER SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT DATE WITH ALL THE REQUIREMENTS.

DOCUMENTS/ITEMS TO BRING DURING THE EXAMINATION


A. Notice of Admission (NOA) issued by the Regional Office;
B. Identification Card:

  1. For Civilian applicant – One (1) valid government-issued I.D. with
    applicant’s date of birth (National, Passport, Postal, Driver’s License,
    PRC, etc.)
  2. For PNP member – PNP ID.

C. Pencil No. 2; and,
D. Black or Blue ball pen (to be used for signing the Room Assignment List and
for answering the essay portion of the PO2nd and PO1st Class exams).

NOTE: Only examinees with printed NOA shall be authorized to take the examination.
Clearances issued by the Court, NBI, PNP, Barangay shall not be accepted as valid government-issued ID.

EXAMINATION ATTIRE

A. PNP Entrance Examinees are required to wear a white shirt, shoes, and black/dark blue pants (maong/slacks). Examinees are advised to observe proper grooming.

B. PNP PromEx examinees shall wear their PNP GOA Type

C. The Examination Administrator may authorize the wearing of PNP Patrol Shirt or Field Service Uniform (green/pixelized camouflage) for justifiable/exceptional
reasons.

NOTE: Examinees not in the prescribed attire shall NOT be allowed to enter the examination venue.

Reminders

Applicants should be aware of the following important reminders:

A. Data Accuracy: All information provided by the applicant in the Index Card and the submitted required documents must be accurate and true. These details are considered official data.

B. Qualification Review: An applicant’s qualifications are subject to final review and verification by the Examining Division-Personnel and Administrative Service (ED-PAS) of NAPOLCOM. If necessary, additional documents may be requested.

C. Exam Results Notification: All examinees, whether they pass or fail the exams, will be notified of their results.

Prohibitions, Violations, and Sanctions

NAPOLCOM takes exam integrity seriously and enforces strict prohibitions against certain behaviors during the examination. Violations may result in severe sanctions, including permanent disqualification and criminal or administrative liability. The following are prohibited:

A. Acts of Cheating: Examinees involved in cheating acts, such as impersonation, use of codigo or crib sheets, tampering with exam records, collusion, test booklet switching, or other similar acts facilitating exam passing, will have their results invalidated.

B. Police Officers’ Anomalous Acts: Police officers found involved in anomalous acts will not only be barred from taking the PESE exam but may also face charges of dishonesty and potential dismissal from service.

C. Use of Fake NAPOLCOM Eligibility: Individuals found using fake NAPOLCOM eligibility for entry into the police service will be permanently barred from taking NAPOLCOM exams and may face appropriate charges.

D. Proctor, Examiner, and Official Liability: Officials and persons involved in exam administration who are found to have colluded in anomalous practices or demonstrated gross negligence may face criminal or administrative liability.

E. Nullification of Anomalous Eligibility: Police Service Eligibility obtained through anomalous practices will be nullified.

F. Prohibited Items: Bringing prohibited items, such as firearms, explosives, two-way radios, cell phones, electronic gadgets, calculators, smart watches, and review materials, into the exam center is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.

G. Additional Prohibitions: Bags, knapsacks, envelopes, folders, and other unnecessary items are also prohibited inside the exam center.

Notification of Examination Results

Upon the completion of the examination, candidates can expect to receive the results as follows:

A. Nationwide List of Successful Examinees: This list will be posted at the One-Stop-Shop (NOSS), 7th Floor, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, NAPOLCOM Building in Quezon City.

B. Regional Lists: Regional lists of successful examinees will also be posted at NAPOLCOM Regional Offices.

C. Certificates of Eligibility or Report of Rating: Successful examinees will receive a Certificate of Eligibility, while failed examinees will receive a Report of Rating. These documents will be mailed to the examinees’ mailing addresses.

In the event that an examinee passes the exam but does not receive their Certificate of Eligibility, they may request a Certification from the NAPOLCOM Central and Regional Offices for a fee of One Hundred Fifty Pesos.

The three-hour Napolcom exam consists of objective-type/multiple-choice items and covers the following subject areas:

Those who passed the examination are conferred by the National Police Commission the PNP Entrance Eligibility which is appropriate for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman as prescribed under Sec.30 of Republic Act No. 6975 as amended by Republic Act No. 8551.
