New Salary Schedule for Government Employees under EO 64
President Marcos has signed an executive order approving a salary increase for government workers and authorizing an additional allowance for state employees.
Executive Order No. 64 updates the salary schedule for all civilian government personnel across the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches, including Constitutional Commissions, other Constitutional Offices, and certain Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and Local Government Units (LGUs).
The new schedule will be implemented in four tranches from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2027.
Qualified employees will also receive a PhP7,000 annual medical allowance. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will issue implementation guidelines, and the full EO is available in the Official Gazette.
