The Philippine Air Force is one of the branches of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is also known as Hukbong Himpapawid since it focuses on aerial services.
If you wish to work for the PAF, you need to accomplish the first step of the recruitment process as well as undergo rigorous training.
The PAF conducts the pre-entry exam for PAF Officer Candidate Course (PAFOCC) for aspiring Officers and Basic Military Training (BMT) for the Candidate Soldier Course.
PAF Exam 2025 Schedule
The Philippine Air Force announces the registration for the PAF Entrance Examination.
The Philippine Airforce Exam Schedule 2025 is out. The Philippine Air Force will be accepting applicants for PAF Officer Candidate Course (PAFOCC) Class 2026 and Special Enlistment (SE) CY โ 2026 starting 21 April to 25 April 2025 at the following Processing Centers on the attached poster with the scheduled examination date.

Qualifications for Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate (PAFOCC):
These are the following qualifications for PAF Officer Candidate.
โ Male or Female natural-born/naturalized Filipino Citizen;
โ Baccalaureate degree holder (Graduate of Priority Course needed by the PAF)
โ Not less than 20 years old but not a day older than 27 years old on the date of appointment (Born between 28 December 1998 to 28 December 2005)
โ With good moral character and free from any derogatory records;
โ Single and never been married,
โ Never sired or borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child or children
โ Must pass the Physical/Medical Examination and be granted a Physical Profile 1 (P1) by the PAF Medical Board;
Must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 cms or five (5โft) for both male and female (Minority below the minimum height requirement must secure certification from NCIP duly signed by the Regional Director (101 ICCโs/IPโs of the Philippines)
Qualifications for the Special Enlistment
โ Male or Female natural-born/naturalized Filipino Citizen;
โ Must have completed the K to 12 basic education program or has earned at least 72 units in collegiate courses from an educational institution recognized by the government;
โ Not less than 18 years old but not a day older than 35 years old upon enlistment. (Born between 31 December 1991 to 31 December 2008)
โ With good moral character and free from any derogatory records;
โ Single and never been married
โ Never sired or borne a child and without legal obligation to support a child or children
โ Certified to be physically and mentally fit for active military service as determined by the PAF Medical Board;
โ Must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 cms or five (5โft) for both male and female(Minority below the minimum height requirement must secure certification from NCIP duly signed by the Regional Director (101 ICCโs/IPโs of the Philippines)

Initial Requirements for PAFOCC and Special Enlistment
Prepare the following requirements (in original, photocopy, and scanned copy):
โ PSA Issued Birth Certificate;
โ Transcript of Records (TOR) and Form 137 for Senior High School Graduate;
โ Certification from the School Registrar (If the Applicant is a graduating student or a new graduate);
โ Diploma;
โ 2 pcs latest 2×2 ID picture in white background (original only);
โ Certificate from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), duly signed by the Regional Director (only for Indigenous People members only);
โ VALID AFPSAT IRF (for applicants who took AFPSAT in the Philippine Army and the Philippine Navy) (Note: AFPSAT is valid only for three years from the date of examination).
Note: Applicants who previously passed the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) taken from any branch of service such as Philippine Army and Philippine Navy, shall bring the original, photocopy and scanned copy of their valid Individual Report Form (IRF) and shall only take the PAF General Classification Test (PAFGCT).

How to apply?
1. Download the PAF Application Form then print or obtain one from the nearest Processing/Examination Center near you.
2. Fill out the form electronically or by writing legibly your details. If you opt to fill- it out electronically, make sure that you affix your signature using a ball pen or sign pen, preferably blue or black.
3. Prepare the requirements stated above.
4. Go to the nearest Processing/Examination Center to personally register and bring the ORIGINAL, PHOTOCOPY, AND SCANNED COPY of the requirements:

EXEMPTION FROM TAKING THE QUALIFYING EXAM
Applicants who are Licensed Criminologists shall submit the following documents to qualify for exemption from the examinations. Documents must be placed in a BLUE Folder with blue tabbings for PAFOC Applicants and a RED Folder with blue tabbings for Special Enlistment Applicants:

1. Fully Accomplished PAF Application Form (original)
โ Must be processed by the PAF Processing Center and have undergone the Limited Physical Examination.
2. Transcript of Records and Diploma
3. PSA-Issued Birth Certificate
4. Criminologist Licensure Examination Rating (issued by PRC)
5. Valid PRC ID
6. Certification of Government Service (if applicable)
7. Certificate of Work Experience Related to Criminology (if applicable)
8. Certificates of Seminars/Trainings (if any)
โ Must be related to the practice of criminology.
โ Must bear the full name of the applicant.
9. Awards/Recognitions (if any)
โ Must be related to the practice of criminology.

Wear a white polo shirt, pants, and any closed shoes on the examination day. All applicants will undergo a limited physical examination before the examination. They will check for the following physical features/deformities:
- Tattoos;
- Ear or facial piercing for males;
- Multiple ear/facial piercings for females;
- Crossed eyes;
- bow-leggedness / knocked-knee
- Crooked arm(s)
- Lacking finger(s)
- Cleft lip and cleft palate

Physical and Medical Examinations
After you passed the written examination, youโll also need to undergo the Physical Fitness Test. This includes push-ups, sit-ups, and a 3.2km run.
- Candidate Soldier applicants passed the written examinations and who will be included in the qualified applicants to be processed will be notified to report at their designated PAF Military Treatment Facility for their Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
- Officer Candidate applicants who will pass the written examinations will be notified to report at PAFPMC, Col Jesus Villamor Airbase Pasay City for the Physical Fitness Test.

For Your Information:
There are two qualifying exams for the Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate Course (PAFOCC) and BMT (Candidate Soldier), These are the AFPSAT and PAFGCT.
Philippine Air Force General Classification Test ( PAFGCT) is an exam that you need to take every time you apply. You need to pass both the AFPSAT and PAFGCT to qualify for PAFOCC and BMT.
Applicants will be ranked according to their scores in both exams. Individuals with high scores will advance to the next phase of the screening which is the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
Again, scores from the PFT and the qualifying exams will be the basis for entry to the next phase. The passing score of PAFOCC Applicants for AFPSAT is 71 out of 150 and PAFGCT is 60 out of 120 while for the CS Applicants, the passing score for AFPSAT is 48 out of 150 and PAFGCT is 42 out of 120.
