Am I exempted to take the qualifying exam in the AFP?
You are exempted to take any entrance examination in the AFP if you are a registered criminologists. However, if you choose to take the entrance exam, you could also do that.
If you choose not to sit for an exam, you could directly submit the requirements for application.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERED CRIMINOLOGISTS:
1. Must be a citizen of the Philippines.
2. Must be of good moral character and not convicted in any offense involving moral turpitude.
3. Physically and mentally fit.
4. Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Criminology in any reputable school recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
5. Must be a registered criminologist with a valid certificate of board rating and a valid professional identification card issued by the PRC.
6. College Diploma/Certificate and Transcript of Records (TOR) duly authenticated by the School Registrar.
7. Philippine Statistics Authority PSA Birth certificate
PROCEDURES FOR LICENSED CRIMINOLOGIST APPLYING FOR PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE
1) Applicants must download the current PAF Application Form. Download the form here.
2) Applicants must fully accomplish the PAF Application form and prepare the following requirements:
REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSED CRIMINOLOGIST
A. ORIGINAL Fully Accomplished PAF Application Form (Must be
Processed by PAF Processing Center – have undergone LPE)
B. Photocopy of Transcript of Records
C. Photocopy of Diploma
D. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
E. Photocopy of Criminologist Licensure Exam Rating
F. Photocopy of PRC ID (Must be valid and not expired)
G. Photocopy of Proof/Certification of Government Service (If applicable)
H. Photocopy of Proof of Seminar/ Trainings (Must be related to the
the practice of Criminology. Must bear the full name of the Owner)
Seminars/Trainings Must be related to the following:
-Intelligence
-Investigation
-Operation
-Administrative
-Any Police Community Relations or CMO equivalent in the AFP
-Any Criminal Law/Procedures/Justice Systems
-Other related law enforcement service and/or any seminars/trainings
from the academic field of criminology
I. Photocopy of Proof of Specialization/Master’s Degree
J. Photocopy of Awards/ Recognitions (Must be related to the practice of
Criminology. Must bear the full name of the Owner)
The Awards/Recognitions must be:
• Duly certified/ recognized by schools/ agencies/ departments and
other related law enforcement service
• Given by the AFP/ PNP/ BJMP/ NBI and other related awards and
recognitions from the government.
• Presidential/Highest Honor Awards
3) The photocopy of the requirements must be fastened into a folder with each requirement segregated by blue tabbing.
-Candidate Soldier Applicant (CS) – Green long folder
-PAF Officer Candidate Course Applicants White long folder
4) The folder must have the following labels:
-Name of the Applicant
-Licensed Criminologist
-Purpose of Application – Candidate Soldier (CS) or PAF Officer
Candidate (PAFOC)
-Contact Number of the Applicant
5) The Licensed Criminologists must have the original copy of the requirements
to be verified by the Processing/Testing Center.
6) The Licensed Criminologists shall report on the day of examination at the
Processing Centers/Testing Area for the conduct of Limited Physical
Examination (LPE) and submission of their folders.
7) STRICTLY NO SUBMISSIONS THROUGH E-MAIL OR COURIER MAIL.
ANY LATE SUBMISSION OF REQUIREMENTS THROUGH E-MAIL OR
COURIER MAIL WILL BE DISREGARDED.
8)Applicants shall wait for call/text for possible inclusion in the quota for
Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
