The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is planning to recruit 5,500 officers and personnel this 2021. This was announced by the PCG Commandant Admiral George V. Ursabia in the signing of the contract of lease with the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation on the PCG’s continuing utilization of the 440,000-square meter facility in Bagac, Bataan that has been one of the major Coast Guard Regional Training Centers since 2014.
Ursabia added that the 4,000 will be trained in the PCG while 1,500 will be for the Bureau of Customs as it needed additional personnel for their operations this year.
