If you are not yet aware, the Department of Information and Communications Technology offers free computer skills training. The program is under the Rural Impact Sourcing or what they call now as DigitalJobsPh.
DigitalJobsPh (formerly called Rural Impact Sourcing RIS Program), also known as “Kapag May WiFi, May Hanapbuhay”, helps people in the countryside by providing them trainings and skills on the computer. This enables them to do online freelancing as a source of livelihood.
This program has produced more than 2,000 graduates who are now part of the 1.5 million Online Filipino Workers dubbed as OFW Version 2, and 700 MSMEs with websites and online presences.
However, for digitaljobsPH/RIS graduates who do not have computers at home, DICT provides working facilities called RIS Hubs.
Part of the program is also capacitating Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to increase its market coverage through e-Commerce.
