Fisheries Professionals Board Exam Guide
The Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination (FPLE) is administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The October 2026 examination was held October 1–2. Applications opened July 3 and closed September 1; results were released October 6. These dates are historical, not a confirmed schedule for the next exam. Qualifications and eligibility
Under Republic Act No. 11398 and its implementing rules, applicants generally need a recognized fisheries degree, or qualifying allied-field postgraduate fisheries education subject to Board evaluation, and must satisfy statutory good-character and other requirements. Documentary requirements and fees
PRC lists a PSA birth certificate, PSA marriage certificate when applicable, transcript of records with photo and “For Board Examination Purposes” remarks, and two certificates of good moral character from qualifying issuers. Eligible educational subjects include aquaculture, capture fisheries, post-harvest fisheries, and aquatic resources and ecology. PRC lists a ₱900 complete-exam fee and ₱450 conditioned/removal fee. How to apply online through LERIS
Register or sign in through PRC LERIS, complete your profile, select Fisheries Professionals, choose an available appointment and examination location, pay through an offered channel, then follow PRC instructions for presenting your documents and obtaining your Notice of Admission. Do not assume the 2026 application window is still open.
Testing centers
For October 2026, PRC listed NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Rosales, Tacloban and Tuguegarao. Future locations are subject to official announcements.
Examination coverage
The four statutory areas are Aquatic Resources and Ecology, Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, and Post-Harvest Fisheries. Always consult the examination program for subject order, allowed materials and updated coverage.
