The Overseas Worker Welfare Administration OWWA releases the result of the EDSP Scholarship for AY 2020-2021.
OWWA announces a total of 400 new scholars from different regions under the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) for the school year 2020-2021 and the Top 5 Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP).
The EDSP is OWWA’s competitive educational assistance program where the dependents of qualified member-OFWs of OWWA vie for a slot by passing the annual qualifying examination conducted by the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute.
The EDSP is one of the regular programs of OWWA where the qualified dependent of the active member-OFW could take any four or five-year course leading to a college degree. An allowance of Php 60,000 per school year is given to an EDSP scholar, along with trainings and other learning enhancement activities.
