Do you know some local government officials who are corrupt? You can now file your complaints for free.
The Office of the President launches a text service platform where the public can text their complaints, concerns, and grievances on graft and corrupt practices by government officials and employees and slow and inefficient delivery of government services and requests for government assistance — free of charge.
Text 8888
Text 8888 had a soft launch last November 3, 2020. The Office of the President (OP) has added an 8888 short message system (SMS) / text service platform to the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center (8888 CCC), one of the constituent offices of the OP Strategic Action and Response Office.
This is a move of the government to fight the prevalent corruption in the Philipines and also give a boost to the good governance drive of the Duterte Administration.
This text service platform is free for the Globe and Smart subscribers and their affiliate telcos. Corrupt Government Officials are now a text away.
