Last year, OWWA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac made an announcement about the rebate program to OFW’s. He made a live broadcast that the rebate will be given in May last year. However, no rebate were received by the OFW up until now.

Rebate is the money which will be given to OFW’s that are members of OWWA for the past 10 years that did not receive any benefits from the agency.

Update:
According to the report of Philippine News Agency, Qualified members of OWWA in Region 1 (Ilocos) may now be able to receive their rebates.
Amount ranging from PHP941 to PHP13,000, depending on the number of contribution is ready for release.
OWWA regional director Gerardo Rimorin said in a media interview in Laoag on Friday after his courtesy visit to the Provincial Capitol.
โWe expect to distribute the rebates to our active and qualified OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) next month. We are just waiting for the announcement for a schedule of launching in Region 1,โ
