The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) releases a total of 22.9B to the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) representing the Financial Assistance that was approved by the President to be distributed to Local Government Units in National Capital Region (NCR) the Provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal (collectively known as “NCR Plus), that were placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 04, 2021.
Who can receive the Ayuda 2021?
Low-income households will be entitled to receive P1,000 per person but not to exceed P4,000 per family either in cash or in-kind based on the most efficient and effective mechanism to be identified by their respective LGUs.
The Financial Assistance will cover 80% of the population at about 22.915-million individuals based on the projections from the National Economic and Development Authority. The Department of Social Welfare and Development will help with the distribution.
Moreover, the list of the DSWD from the Social Amelioration Program will be the basis as to whom to prioritized as beneficiaries according to the directives of the President. It will also be posted in LGU’s and the list will be submitted to the DBM as well as the Commission on Audit.
