eBIR forms: How to file tax returns using eBIR forms?

The Electronic Bureau of Internal Revenue Forms (eBIRForms) allows taxpayers with an alternative method of preparing and filing tax returns that are easier and more convenient.

 The use of eBIRForms by taxpayers will improve the BIR’s tax return data capture and storage thereby enhancing efficiency and accuracy in the filing of tax returns.

Through the use of the downloadable eBIRForms Software Package (also known as the Offline Package), taxpayers and Accredited Tax Agents (ATAs) will be able to fill up tax returns offline and submit it to the BIR through the Online eBIRForms System.

Offline eBIRForms Package

The Offline eBIRForms Package is a tax preparation software that allows taxpayers and ATAs to accomplish or fill up tax forms offline. The package can do automatic computations and has the capability to validate information encoded by taxpayers/ATAs. After filling out the forms in this package, taxpayers/ATAs can submit it to the Online eBIRForms System.

Online eBIRForms System

The Online eBIRForms System is a filing infrastructure that accepts tax returns submitted online and automatically computes penalties for tax returns submitted beyond the due date. You may eFILE your tax returns using the eBIRForms package.  Fill-up the required form, validate and click the “FINAL COPY” button..

eBIR forms: How to file tax returns using eBIR forms?

Step 1

To download the Offline eBIRForms Package v7.6.1 in this link  https://bit.ly/BIRforms.

Step 2

After downloading the Offline eBIRForms Package, log off on the website, and install the Package. Open it on your Personal Computer or laptop.

Step 3

Fill-out your profile, then select the BIR form number that you will file. Fill it out by providing the necessary information in your tax return. Afterward, click “Validate.”

Step 4

Double-check all the information you entered. If you needed to change something just click edit. Make sure to have an internet correction and when everything is already correct, click the validate button again.

Step 5

Click the SUBMIT/FINAL COPY button and follow the steps on the pop up messages. You will then receive Receipt Confirmation on your email from the BIR. Print it or save and present on the bank when you need to pay your taxes.
