March 2027 Civil Service Exam application opening
The March 14, 2027 examination opens for applications on November 2, 2026. The CSC targets 350,000 slots for each of the March and August CSE-PPT examinations. There is no fixed nationwide closing date in the annual calendar: applications continue until available slots are filled or the CSC announces otherwise. Applicants should check their regional office promptly.
August 2027 Civil Service Exam application opening
The August 8, 2027 examination opens for applications on May 10, 2027, also subject to slot availability and later CSC advisories.
Qualifications and Professional versus Subprofessional eligibility
Applicants generally must be Filipino citizens at least 18 years old at filing and meet the CSC’s current admission rules on good moral character, disqualifying convictions, dismissal or discharge, and retaking the same examination level. A college degree is not generally required simply to take the exam. Professional eligibility may meet the eligibility requirement for many first- and second-level government positions, while Subprofessional eligibility generally applies to first-level positions. Passing does not guarantee government employment or replace job-specific education, experience or licensing requirements.

2027 requirements and how to file
The CSC says it will issue an individual examination announcement around three weeks before each application period. This will specify the testing centers, qualifications, documentary requirements, official forms, application channels, examination coverage, passing grade and resulting eligibility. Do not rely on old 2025 application links, fees or form versions.
Check CSC examination advisories and your CSC Regional or Field Office. Prepare the currently required CS Form No. 100, compliant photos, accepted identification and any additional documents listed in the specific announcement. Exam coverage and preparation
The Professional examination generally includes verbal, numerical and analytical abilities, while Subprofessional generally includes verbal, numerical and clerical abilities. Testing centers and room assignments
The annual CSC calendar does not specify every testing center or regional filing process. Check CSC official announcements for the latest venues, available slots, school assignments and examination-day reminders.
