August 2026 Civil Service Exam Results: List of Passers, Ratings and Next Steps

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the results of the August 9, 2026 Career Service Examination–Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT). According to its October 7 announcement, 34,719 examinees passed, representing a 14.41% passing rate among 240,934 examinees.

The official lists for the Professional and Subprofessional examinations were posted on October 6, 2026—earlier than the previously announced October 12 target. Examinees can now check the CSC’s official list of passers by region. This report concerns the August 9 examination actually administered; separately suspended examinations have different schedules.

How to check the August 2026 civil service exam results

  1. Visit the official CSC examination passers portal.
  2. Choose your examination type (Professional or Subprofessional) and region.
  3. Optionally enter your surname, then select Search to check the official list.
  4. Verify results only through the CSC website. The commission warns against unofficial pages impersonating the agency.

The CSC published Examination Advisory No. 17, series of 2026, confirming the release date and directing examinees to the official results.

August 2026 CSE passing rate and regional figures

The CSC reported 34,719 passers nationwide out of 240,934 examinees, or 14.41%. Region III recorded a 20.84% regional passing rate with 4,278 successful examinees: 3,895 at the Professional level and 383 at the Subprofessional level. The commission also reported passing rates of 18.78% in Region I, 17.29% in Region V and 16.86% in Region IV.

For the Professional examination, Farrah Denisse D. Tuazon of Region I earned the highest reported rating, 97.38. For the Subprofessional examination, Danna Jaye O. Sanguenza of Region VII led with 97.43. These figures come from the CSC’s October 7 news release.

When can examinees check their individual ratings?

The CSC says both passers and non-passers may retrieve their individual test results through the CSC website’s OCSERGS quick link. Its October 6 advisory says ratings can be generated within 14 days of the release of the passers list. The CSC examination portal also says a separate advisory will confirm the date the online rating service becomes available. Therefore, do not assume individual ratings are already accessible just because the passers list has been published.

When will the CSC issue Certificates of Eligibility?

According to the CSC’s October 6 examination portal notice, free letterhead Certifications of Eligibility for successful examinees are expected to be issued through CSC regional or field offices by November 12, 2026. Passers should check availability with the relevant office before visiting and bring an accepted identification card.

Successful examinees may alternatively apply for the special-paper Certification of Eligibility, for a fee, by November 12, 2026. CSC advises applicants to contact the relevant regional or field office for details and any appointment requirements. Read the official CSC examination portal reminders for updates.

What about examinees whose August 9 test was suspended?

In a separate advisory dated October 6, the CSC reset the suspended August 9 examination to November 22, 2026 for all NCR testing centers and selected centers in Region IV (Dasmariñas, Sta. Cruz in Laguna, Batangas City and Morong in Rizal) and CAR (Baguio City, La Trinidad in Benguet and Bangued in Abra). Affected registered examinees need not register again or pay another exam fee.

The CSC said it would issue school-assignment instructions no later than 14 days before the reset examination. The advisory also describes a weather-related contingency that could move the reset to January 24, 2027. Affected examinees should read Examination Advisory No. 16 directly for all conditions.

What does passing the civil service exam mean?

The Professional level grants Career Service Professional Eligibility, generally relevant to first- and second-level government positions that do not require separate professional licensure. The Subprofessional level grants eligibility for qualifying first-level clerical positions. Passing does not guarantee government employment; applicants must still meet the qualifications of the specific vacancy.
