BIR Tin Verification: How to verify your TIN online?

Old BIR TIN Verification

The BIR announces that the BIR Tin Verifier Mobile Application will not be available starting January 1, 2023. The BIR Mobile Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) Verifier Application was released by the BIR on January 27, 2021, through a Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 13-2021.

What is a TIN Verifier Mobile Application?

 It is a mobile application in which you can verify your BIR Tax Identification Number (tin) in the comfort of your home. It is also a service channel for taxpayers to send online TIN validation and TIN Inquiry using their mobile phones with a real-time response from the concerned BIR Office.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) makes it easy to verify your tin online by introducing the BIR's Digital Assistant or the chatbot named Revie. So if you forget your tin number, worry no more. With just a few clicks, you can retrieve your TIN through Revie’s TIN Inquiry module.

How to verify your tin online?

First, you can visit the BIR website through this link:

Click the chatbot found on the lower right side of the monitor.

You will be asked to choose a query either Tin Validation, RDO Finder, eComplaint, General Inquiries, or Tin Inquiry.

  • Tin Validation: Check validity if the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is valid, existing, and/or active.
  • RDO Finder: Identify the Revenue District Office (RDO) of the Taxpayer where he/she is registered using a known Tax Identification Number (TIN).
  • eComplaint: Taxpayers can submit their grievances/complaints against establishments for non-issuance of receipts/invoices, tax evasion, and other violations against the Tax Code. Complaints against erring BIR officials/employees can also be submitted in this facility.
  • General Inquiries: Other tax-related inquiries are different from the above four (4) categories.
  • Tin Inquiry: Identify the taxpayer’s Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).

You have two options. You can click the Click the “View Button” for Tin Inquiry or Tin Validation.

Note: If you forget your BIR Tin Number click the Tin Inquiry. You will then be asked to fill out the needed information which includes your name, gender, and birthdate. Click the “Submit Form” Button. They will then tell you your BIR Tin Number.

However, if you want to verify your Tin ID, click “Tin Validation”. Enter your 9-digit Tin Number, Name (Last Name, Middle Name, First Name), gender, and birth date. Tap the Submit Form.

It will then tell you the status of your Tin Number and the RDO you are under. That’s how fast and easy you can check your Taxpayer Identification Number.
