Filipinos interested in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and other digital skills have new training opportunities through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). In its November 4, 2026 announcement, TESDA highlighted partnerships with STI College, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and other organizations to expand access to skills training.
What free AI and cloud computing training is available?
TESDA says its partnership with STI College includes scholarship training for Data Collection and Annotation (Data Science/Artificial Intelligence) Level II and AI Prompting for Automation Level III. These programs focus on preparing data for AI applications and using AI tools to automate work. Interested applicants should check with TESDA or participating training institutions for specific scholarship slots, admission requirements and schedules.
Online AWS courses through TESDA
Through the TESDA Online Program (TOP), learners can access digital training opportunities including:
- Fundamentals of AI — introductory AI concepts, machine learning and applications.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner — foundational cloud services, security, architecture and pricing.
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner — AI applications, responsible AI and generative AI concepts.
TESDA’s October 2 announcement states that TOP courses are open to Filipinos with access to the platform, with no prerequisites or course fees. A free course does not automatically mean the external AWS certification examination is free. Certification vouchers may be available to eligible learners subject to availability and program rules.

TESDA describes these opportunities as relevant to jobseekers, students, employees and professionals who want to upskill or change careers. Its collaboration with Google, DepEd and CHED also supports AI learning for teachers through the Google AI Educator Series.
