The Respiratory Therapist Licensure Exam is conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission once/twice a year. To be able to take the exam you need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a university or college.
Respiratory Therapy Licensure Exam (RTLE) Schedule
The PRC has announced the new board exam schedule for the year 2024.
The RTLE schedule is on February 6 & 7, 2024. The filing of the application will start on November 06, 2023, while the deadline for application is set on January 08, 2024.
February 09, 2024, is the target date for the result of the Respiratory Therapist Exam. Refer to the table below for complete details.

Respiratory Therapy Board Exam Requirements
Here are the needed requirements to apply for the RTLE:
- NSO / PSA Birth Certificate
- NSO / PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants)
- Transcript of Records with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes”
- Payment: P900.00
- Valid NBI Clearance (First Timers & Repeaters)
*Certification of ten (10) months of internship equivalent to a minimum of one thousand five hundred (1500) hours of Respiratory therapy clinical internship under the supervision of duly qualified and registered respiratory therapists.
*Three (3) certificates of Good Moral Character from any of the following duly signed by the issuing authority and duly notarized under oath:
- Barangay
- School
- Church
- Employer
*CAV (Certificate of Authentication and Verification) for those schools without Special Order (SO) numbers.

How to apply for the RT Board Exam?
The application will be done online at PRC LERIS. Go to https://online2.prc.gov.ph/ to apply. You may want to see our guide on how to register on PRC LERIS.
Applicants are also advised to pay through Landbank (i-access), PayMaya, or UCPB(over the counter). After your application, you can go to the PRC office to submit all the requirements needed.
