In a move that will benefit more Filipinos, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed into law Republic Act No. 11935 postponing the December 2022 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections to October 2023.
Under this law, instead of December 5 this year, the election will be held on the last Monday of October 2023 and every three years thereafter.
