PCA Medical Assistance 2026: Up to ₱40,000 for Coconut Farmers in Davao de Oro

Updated October 15, 2026. Registered coconut farmers in Davao de Oro and qualified immediate family dependents may access medical assistance following a partnership between the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and the provincial government, formalized on October 12, 2026. The program is location-specific and is not a nationwide cash distribution.

Who may qualify?

The Philippine Information Agency reports that farmers must be registered in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS). Eligible immediate family dependents aged 21 and below are also covered. Applicants should confirm their registration and eligibility with PCA personnel.

What medical expenses are covered?

  • Up to ₱40,000 per patient per single hospital admission for confinement costs not covered by the PhilHealth No Balance Billing (NBB) policy; PCA says this inpatient benefit may be used once every three months.
  • Up to ₱5,000 per beneficiary for post-confinement medicines and prescribed laboratory examinations.
  • Up to ₱5,000 per beneficiary for outpatient medicines, diagnostics and laboratory services not covered by PhilHealth’s YAKAP program.

These are maximum assistance ceilings, not automatic cash payouts. Actual support depends on eligibility, eligible expenses and applicable program rules.

Where is the program available?

The four Davao de Oro provincial government hospitals in Montevista, Pantukan, Laak and Maragusan are included. PCA XI also identifies participating private and government hospitals in nearby Davao del Norte and Davao City; ask PCA to confirm current facility participation before seeking treatment.

How to inquire

Contact a PCA XI social worker or your local Coconut Development Officer for registration verification, hospital coordination and documentation requirements. The announcement does not specify an online application form or a general application deadline.
