List: Dito Sim Compatible Phones

DITO updated the list of phones that are 100 percent compatible with its network without technical issues. DITO’s list includes select models of MyPhone, Samsung, Huawei, TCL, Cherry Mobile, Oppo, Vivo, etc. If you want to use the Dito sim, you also need to make sure that you are located in the area where DITO Telecommunity is already operational.

Dito Sim Compatible Phones

Dito uses next-gen VoLTE technology to deliver crystal clear high-definition voice calls, simultaneous use of data, and voice for your multi-tasking chores while preserving your phone’s battery life altogether.

According to DITO chief technology officer Rodolfo Santiago, “The compatibility list, those models that were included in our compatibility list has undergone a collaborative test with the manufacturers of their compatibility in our network. Because this is collaborative, we are assured that the manufacturers are confident that the brands that have undergone this testing are 100 percent compatible.”

“The compatibility issue stems from DITO’s lack of 2G frequencies,” Engineer Pierre Tito Gala said.  But if you are using smartphones you have nothing to worry about because all smartphones have an LTE capability.  You can now purchase a DITO sim card online and all authorized dealers.

DITO now covers over 37.5 percent of the population based on its technical audit but its target is to cover 51 percent of the population in its second year in operation. They have some towers in Visayas and Mindanao, 15 areas to be exact, and can only serve those within the coverage area and those with compatible handsets.

This is an alternative network project that had been endorsed by President Duterte for higher-speed internet. The CEO of this company is very close to the president and one of the premier business owners in Davao City. But we won’t mind the connection of the two especially if they will bring a much faster internet in a more low-cost budget.

I hope we can say soon that gone are those days when we have a slow internet signal especially when it is rainy season.  A time when we have to wait 30 seconds to a minute in the loading of a webpage because we only have 256 kbps signal to 1 Mbps. We are the only country in the world that loves to go online but at the bottom of the internet speed spectrum. I hope the DITO network will change that and deliver us to the new heights of internet speed technology.

All of this is not possible without the long years of frustration by enduring the low-speed networks and the dismay that it brought. All it takes is the frustration of the president and his will to change the usual things that are happening to two giant telecommunication networks. After DITO, I hope the two telecommunication giants will soon follow and deliver the necessary speed to their subscribers because their promise is not being seen as the result of the speed that is being advertised.

So we are being led by promised and I hope DITO will deliver or will over-deliver the promised of new high-speed technology that will compete in terms of speed of first world country. Until that promised will met by success, all we can do right now is hope for a better network and for a better speed.
