PRC releases new format of Professional Identification Card - NewsToGov

PRC releases new format of Professional Identification Card

The Professional Regulation Commission introduces new content, format, and layout of the Professional Identification Card (PIC) effective September 2019.

Professionals who will register or apply for the renewal of their license starting September will be issued the new format of the PRC card.

According to PRC, the changes are in line with the policy of the government to promote ease of doing business by simplifying the documentary forms and processes which include the PIC. It is also in compliance with the requirements of Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

RA 11032 (ARTA) is also known as Ease of Doing Business and Effective Government Service Delivery Act of 2018. It is signed by the President last year to reduce the processing time in any government transactions.

To know more about ARTA, you can read it here.

Changes in the new PRC Card

As you can see in the photo above, important details are still on the front page of the PRC card. The difference from the previous once is the removal of the birth date and the last renewal date.
