Want to become a PMA cadet? You first have to pass the PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE). Online and mail applicants get an exam permit, and the PMA also accepts walk-in examinees on exam day. PMA Entrance Exam 2027 (Class 2032): Not Yet Announced
As of October 27, 2026, the PMA has not announced the schedule or testing centers for the next entrance exam (PMA Class 2032). In 2026, the online application opened on March 1 (PMA Facebook announcement) and exams ran from July to September. Watch pma.edu.ph and the PMA Facebook page: the PMA says each registered applicant’s exact exam date is announced on its official Facebook page.
2026 Results
The 2026 exam is finished. 1,216 of 25,452 qualified examinees passed, a 4.78% passing rate. Check the official list of successful examinees (PDF) on pma.edu.ph. Passers go through physical, medical and neuropsychiatric screening from October 2026 to April 2027, and PMA Class 2031 is tentatively set to enter in May 2027 (Daily Tribune). Walk-In Rules (from the PMA FAQs)
- Walk-ins are allowed, but get the lowest priority. Regular (online and mail) applicants go first, and proctors bring only a limited number of exam materials (PMA FAQs). In 2026, PMA said walk-in slots were limited by the number of exam booklets available at each testing site (PNA).
- Bring a filled-out application form. Download the PMA Cadetship Application Form (PDF), fill it out, and bring it with the other requirements (PNA).
- The exam is free. There is no fee (PMA FAQs).
- You can retake it. There is no limit to how many times you can take the exam, as long as you meet the requirements (PMA FAQs).
What to Bring on Exam Day
For Walk-In Applicants
- Accomplished PMA Cadetship Application Form
- Photocopy of PSA birth certificate
- Photocopy of grades: Form 137 (SF 10), Form 138 (SF 9), report card or transcript showing your latest GWA
- 2″ x 2″ ID photo with white background, taken within the last six months
- Valid ID (preferably school ID or driver’s license)
- At least two No. 2 pencils
For Online and Mail Applicants
- Exam permit
- 2″ x 2″ ID photo with white background, taken within the last six months
- Valid ID
- Two No. 2 pencils
Sources: PMA FAQs, the official application form and PNA. In 2026, examinees were required to wear a white T-shirt, pants and rubber shoes (PNA). Testing sites also advised applicants to bring their own food, water and an umbrella (Good Morning Baguio).
Exam-Day Times
- Be at the exam center on or before 7:00 AM (PMA).
- 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM: administrative processing, such as filling out forms and a limited physical exam.
- 12:00 noon to 4:30 PM: the exam proper (PMA FAQs).
Walk-ins should arrive early, since regular applicants get priority and exam materials are limited.
