Philippine High School for the Arts Scholarship Program

The Philippine High School for the Arts full scholarship officially opens for application.

In DepEd memorandum order number 114 series of 2019, Education Secretary Briones stated that PHSA Annual Nationwide Search for Scholars is now accepting applications for a full scholarship to a Special k to 12 secondary education for the school year 2020-2021.

The PHSA is a government-run secondary school. The program aims to develop and identify gifted children to become artists of excellence in the field of dance, music, theater arts, creative writing, and visual arts.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be Filipino Citizen with the outstanding ability with dance (folk or ballet), music(instrument and voice), creative writing, theater, and visual arts. They should be Grade 6 pupil this SY 2019-2020 in a public or private school. Proficient in oral and written language (English and Filipino). Not more than 14 years old by August 2020, with good health and condition and are willing to study in a boarding school.

Benefits

A Full Scholarship is awarded to successful applicants which include free tuition, and board and lodging. Moreover, a monthly stipend will be given with a chance to represent the country in international competition.

How to apply?

Interested applicants may submit their application form and other requirements by mail, email or in person at Annual National Search for Young Arts Scholar office, Philippine High School for the arts, National Arts Center, Mt. Makiling, 4031 Los Banos, Laguna.

Screening of applicants will be conducted in specified Regional Testing and Audition Center in Luzon (Dagupan, Legaspi and Laguna), Visayas (Ormoc), Mindanao (Cagayan De Oro),Cordillera Administrative Region (Baguio) and National Capital Region (Pasay City).
