Metro Manila along with Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan are among those areas that compose the NCR Plus GCQ Bubble. There is no going in and going out of the covered area unless you are authorized to do so.
The authorized persons are essential workers, health and emergency frontline service personnel, government officials, duly-authorized humanitarian assistance workers, persons traveling for humanitarian reasons, persons going for travel abroad, persons crossing zones for work or business, or going back home and returning overseas Filipinos and overseas Filipino workers.
Only those with essential travel are allowed with ID, other than that travelers are prohibited under the bubble areas.

Curfew hours are being implemented from 10 pm to 5 am. No person below 18 years old and senior citizens above 65 years old are allowed to go out in general community quarantine areas, so they have to stay home all day long. Mass gatherings are also prohibited with the exception of weddings, burials, and christening with a number of 10 people authorized to be in the venue.
This is in connection with the surge of COVID19 cases in the National Capital Region and its neighboring province, the NCR Plus areas. The cases right now are in 8000 plus a day at the writing of this article. Most of these cases are related to the new variant of the virus coming from the UK, Africa, and Brazil.
We are back at square one a year from the first surge of coronavirus. Some of the authorities in the field said that this is because of the complacency of people and not doing the right protocol in place. The GCQ starts March 22, 2021, and ends on April 14, 2021, so the non-essential shop is prohibited at this time and only those shops that sell essential goods are allowed to open.
A lot of people have been affected by this Pandemic. Big and small businesses, rich and poor people, no exceptions. But the least we can do right now is to follow the protocol set by IATF and hoping the upsurge of virus infection will eventually subside.
