The Professional Regulation Commission PRC administers the Electronics Technician (ECT) board exam to aspiring electronics technicians in the Philippines.
To qualify to take the Electronics Technician board exam you should have finished at least a two-year Associate, Technician, Trade, or Vocational course in Electronics, or have completed at least 3rd Year BS ECE, a graduate of BS Computer Engineering, and have taken the subject “ECE Laws and Ethics.
What does an electronics technician do?
They work on a wide range of electronic equipment, from small devices to huge industrial equipment. Some common tasks that they perform include repairing and maintaining electronic equipment, reading and interpreting schematics diagrams, and testing electronic equipment. This can be a very interesting and rewarding career for those who love working with technology.
ECT Licensure Exam Requirements

- PSA Birth Certificate
- PSA Marriage Certificate (for married female applicants)
- Transcript of Records with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purposes”
- Payment of P900.00 – complete
- P450.00 – conditioned/removal
