The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announces the Educational Cash Assistance for Students in Elementary, Highschools, Senior High School, and Vocational or College Students nationwide.
DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo discloses the distribution of Cash under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program will start every Saturday, starting Aug. 20 ( August 27, September 3, 10, 17 at 24,) and will last until Sept. 24 this year.
But before you proceed, you have to know first if you are qualified to apply for the program. Here are the qualifications for DSWD Educational Assistance.
Who are eligible to apply for the DSWD Cash Assistance?
According to DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo, Those who belong to the following categories of student-in-crisis are qualified to apply:
- Breadwinner
- Working student
- Has no family or living with a relative
- Child of a solo parent
- Parents with no source of living
- Child of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW)
- Child of HIV victims
- Victim of domestic abuse
- Victim of natural disasters
Only three children per family are qualified to apply and register for the DSWD educational assistance program.
Not included in the Program
- 4P’s Beneficiaries
- Students who have Scholarship grants (UNIFAST, Kabugwason, DOST,DSW and other Scholarship)
How much is the Educational Cash Assistance?
The Cash assistance will vary depending on the level of Education. Elementary students will get P1,000, while high school students will receive P2,000. P3,000 For Senior High School and finally for Vocational/College students will get P4,000.
Summary of the amount of Payout:
- PhP 1,000 for Elementary Students
- PhP 2,000 for High School Students
- PhP 3,000 for Senior High School Students
- PhP 4,000 for Vocational or College Students
How to apply for the DSWD Educational Assistance 2022?
If you want to apply, you can do it by:
1). Walk-In. Visiting the DSWD Central Office and Field Offices nationwide in person. or
2). Through Email. You can send your application to [email protected] and wait for the text confirmation from DSWD.
Some DSWD Regional Office opens an Online Registration Link for the said Cash Assistance.
The message includes the date and location where the payout will be distributed, and also the requirements to bring.
Requirements
You may need the following requirements:
- Certificate of Enrollment/Proof of Enrollment
- Authorization letter (if the applicant is not available)
- Valid ID of parent/guardian as well as students who are in college or taking vocational courses
