Source: PRC 2026 schedule of licensure examinations (Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025). The filing deadline is October 20, 2026, so complete your LERIS application and document submission on or before that date. PRC says no applications are accepted after the deadline except in the justifiable cases listed in Commission Resolution No. 2092, s. 2025. For the May 2026 exam, PRC Resolution No. 2172, s. 2026 removed Pampanga, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro and Davao as testing centers, so that exam was held only in NCR and Cebu. The November 2026 listing still shows all six centers, but check PRC’s schedule page and your Notice of Admission for any change. A few days before the exam, check your room and building assignment on PRC’s Room Assignment page.

Who Can Take the Exam

Under Section 13 of Republic Act No. 11249, the Speech Language Pathology Act, an applicant must be, at the time of filing:

  • A citizen of the Philippines, or of a foreign country that observes reciprocity with the Philippines for the practice of speech language pathology
  • Of good moral character
  • Not convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude
  • A graduate of a bachelor’s degree in speech language pathology from a school, college or university in the Philippines or abroad that is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)

Section 15 of the law allowed qualified practitioners to register without examination only if they applied within one year after the implementing rules took effect. That window has closed, so new graduates need to pass the licensure exam to register.

PRC Requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists

PRC’s list of requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists asks first-time takers for:

  • Notarized application form
  • Birth certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  • PSA marriage certificate or contract (for married female applicants)
  • College diploma and Transcript of Records (original or authenticated), with scanned picture and the remark “For Board Examination Purposes”
  • Certificate of completion of the ten (10) months of internship, signed by the dean and registrar with the school seal
  • National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance
  • Other documents the Board may require

Repeaters only need an original NBI clearance that is valid for six months from the date they file the application.

Foreign applicants also need a copy of the law, treaty or agreement proving reciprocity for the practice of speech-language pathology (Section 34 of Board Resolution No. 04, s. 2022), a copy of their passport data page, and a Certificate of Good Moral Character from an employer, school or other authority acceptable to the Board. Degrees taken abroad need a Certificate of Equivalency from CHED, and documents issued abroad must be authenticated or apostilled, with an English translation if needed.

The examination fee for degree holders is ₱900, based on PRC’s frequently asked questions. Requirements and fees can change, so check PRC’s list again before you file.

Exam Coverage

Section 14 of R.A. 11249 says the exam covers these areas, which the Board may regroup and weight as needed:

The November 2026 exam is on November 29 and 30, 2026. PRC has not yet published its 2027 schedule of licensure examinations, so the exam date after November 2026 is not official yet.
