With the Outbreak of Dengue from Iloilo and other areas, PhilHealth assured the public that its members and their beneficiaries who suffered from the disease can get benefits from them.
According to BGen. Ricardo C. Morales, President, and CEO of PhilHealth,
Binabayaran ng PhilHealth ang mga pasyenteng na-confine dahil sa dengue. P10,000 para sa dengue with o without warning at P16,000 naman para sa severe dengue,”
To translate, He says that PhilHealth will pay patients that are confined because of Dengue. P10,000 for dengue with or without warning while P16,000 for severe dengue.
What are the benefits that a member can get?
These are the exact amount a member can get:
- P10,000 if confined in a Level 1, 2 and 3 hospitals.
- P7,000 if the patient is in Primary Care Facilities.
What are the Conditions for the members to avail the benefits?
To be able to be qualified to the benefits that the PhilHealth will give you should have:
- Active membership or any qualifying contributions,
- You are listed as a qualified dependent,
- 45 days regular benefit limit is not yet finished,
- Admitted in any PhilHealth accredited facility ng not less than 24hours,
- Attended by a PhilHealth accredited doctor.
How about if I am not a member? Would I still get some benefits?
According to PhilHealth, those that are not members can still get a benefit.
“Maaari silang magkaroon ng coverage sa pamamagitan ng Point of Service (POS). Kung saan ang walang kakayahang magbayad ng kontribusyon ay babayaran ng gobyerno ang kanilang isang taong premium,” dagdag ni Morales.
To translate, Morales said that the members can still get benefits through a Point of Service (POS). The government will pay for the one-year premium contribution of a person who does not have the capacity to pay.
