It is important to change your password often in order to keep your account safe. A unique, complex password should be used in order to avoid the risk of someone guessing it; this will protect you from having unauthorized access to your account. There are many risks associated with not changing passwords – these include hacking, data leaks, and vulnerabilities.
With that said, changing your password once a month in your PLDT Router is of equal importance. But for some, it’s not that easy especially if you are not into technology. Read our guide below.
How to Change WIFI Password in PLDT Home FIBR
If you want to change your WIFI password in your PLDT Router because your WIFI already had so much connection, you can do so by following these simple instructions:
Open your Google Chrome web browser or Mozilla Firefox web browser and Type 192.168.1.1 on your web browser. A warning message “Your connection is not private” might appear, so just click the “Advanced” button and click “Proceed to 192.168.1.1 (unsafe).”

Input the following account information to login into the admin dashboard.
Username: admin
Password: 1234

After that, you will be in the Dashboard and then click the Network menu button and then on the left side click the Advanced link button and then you will be prompted with the advance tab dashboard. You can now change your PLDT Home Fibr WiFi password by editing the passphrase as shown in the screenshot below. You can also change the SSID name (WiFi name) if you wish.
After changing the WiFi password, click “Apply.”

You can now enjoy the new reset password of your Wi-Fi without ever wondering who connects with the old password.
