It is very important to follow the rules and regulations when it comes to applying for the Civil Service Exam.
If you want your application to be accepted and successful, follow some of the do’s and dont’s when applying here.
Contents
Do
Apply as early as possible. Once the Civil Service Commission announced the opening of application, prepare your requirements and get ready yourself to apply.
Dont
Do not wait for the deadline. The acceptance of applications will be on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis and will be closed any time before the deadline if the CSC Regional/Field Office has already reached the target number of applicants.
Do
Fill out the Application form. Make sure to complete the requirements needed. It can be downloaded on the CSC website or you can download it here.
Dont
The spaces for the “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumbmark” on the Application Form should be left blank. These shall be accomplished in the presence of the CSC processor.
Do
Part of the requirements is the Identification card. You should bring an original with one photocopy of it.
Dont
Photocopy only of the Identification Card is not allowed. Even the photo in your cellular phones will not be accepted. All other I.D. cards not included in the requirements shall not be accepted.
Do
Wear proper attire when going to the CSC office. Pants and some collar polo and blouse will do. Also, wear a pair of shoes.
Dont
Do not wear SLEEVELESS SHIRT/BLOUSE, SHORTS/SHORT PANTS, and SLIPPERS. They will not allow you to enter the building. You will just waste your time.
Do
You should file for the application in the CSC office personally. Apply to the CSC Regional Office where you intend to do the exam. Check the list of offices of CSC here.
Dont
Do not ask anyone to apply on your behalf. They won’t accept it. You only not bother someone but you also will just make a fool out of her/him.
These are some of the do’s and dont’s when applying for the civil service exam. Make sure to follow them so you won’t encounter any problems afterward. Good luck with your application.
