The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy releases the list of passers for the PMMA Entrance Exam last November 26, 2022.
The examination is the initial step of the screening process to be a part of the PMMA Class of 2027. The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy is one of the most prestigious maritime schools in the Philippines.
Successful applicants can enjoy the benefits upon admission to the Academy. They will be a government scholar and can enjoy a free 4-year tertiary education. They will also be given free boarding and lodging. Importantly, they are guaranteed to have onboard training in international vessels with a corresponding stipend.
Additionally, graduates can be hired immediately by more than thirty (30) partner international and manning companies. They are also eligible to join the Philippine Navy or the Philippine Coast Guard as commissioned officers.
PMMA Results 2023
A total of 4,608 successful examinees among the 13,223 hopeful applicants of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) Entrance Examination.
The PMMA Results 2023 which include score breakdown from different subjects (English, Math, Science, Abstract). For applicants with pending and invalid requirements, the examination result will be on pending status or on hold until they comply with the necessary documents.
How to know your score?
To check your scores you need to log into your account at https://pims.pmma.edu.ph/login using your registered email address and test permit as your password or the password you’ve set during your registration. After that Go to the “APPLICATIONS” tab and Click “RESULTS”. The passing score is 90.

After passing the Online Entrance Exam the next step is the Neuro-Psychological Examination. There is no exact schedule at the moment. You can follow the Official Facebook page of PMMA as well as its Official website https://www.pmma.edu.ph/.
After Passing the entrance Examination, applicants still need to pass the following admission process:
- Neuro-Psychological Evaluation
- Medical Screening
- One-Month Orientation Training
- Appointment as Midshipman
