LTFRB releases the list of drivers eligible for cash aid

The LTFRB releases the list of beneficiaries who are eligible to receive the cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program of the DSWD. The LTFRB Payroll first batch is now available below.

It was approved after the signing of the Joint Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) on 03 April 2020.

Who are included in the cash assistance?

The cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program of the DSWD covers the following: drivers of public utility jeepneys, UV Express, Public Utility Bus (PUB), Point-to-Point Buses (P2P), Taxis, Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS), School Transports, and Motorcycle (MC) Taxis.

How much is the financial assistance for the drivers?

They can get financial aid between P5,000 to P8,000 depending on the regional maximum subsidy per region. This will be for two months starting from April until March.

LTFRB Payroll 1st Batch

The LTFRB releases the initial lists of beneficiaries who are eligible to receive the cash assistance. As of this writing, a total of 4, 175 drivers are included, all the names in the list are based in Metro Manila only. For the list of other regions, LTFRB says to wait for further announcements.

How to get the Cash Assistance?

To claim the money you can go to the nearest Landbank of the Philippines in your area and bring the following requirements:

Drivers with license

  • Drivers License
  • Photocopy of the drivers licence with two signatures

Drivers with confiscated License

  • Temporary Operators Permit
  • Government issued Id (with signature and photo)
  • Photocopy of ID with two signatures

Drivers with expired license not later than September 30 2019

  • Driver’s license
  • Photocopy of driver’s license with two signatures

Drivers who will ask a representative to claim the assistance

  • Letter of authority from the beneficiary with signature
  • Driver’s license of the beneficiary
  • Photocopy of driver’s license of the beneficiary with two signatures
  • A valid government-issued ID of the representative

Note: Drivers who are included in other programs of the DSWD like the Pnatawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program(4p’s) are not included in the Social Amelioration Program of the DSWD.
