Air Asia opens application for the cadet pilot program

Air Asia officially opens the application for their Cadet Pilot Program last January 20, 2020. The All-star cadet pilot program with the partnership of Omni Aviation Corporation aims to select and train aspiring pilots.

The program provides successful cadets with up to two years of technical and leadership training, with the aim of reaching the competencies required by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

Who are qualified to apply?

  • It is open to Filipino citizens who are 21 to 28 years of age and are college graduates of any course.
  • Minimum height of 158 cm.
  • Good command of English and Filipino both written and spoken.
  • Physically Fit and have passed the Medical Exam.
  • Distant visual acuity with or without visual correction shall be 6/9 or better in each eye separately and binocular visual acuity shall be 66/6 or better.
  • Refractive error of not more than 5 diopters.

Application and Selection Process

They will be selecting a total of 300 applicants for the final stage out of 1,000 that will pass the eligibility test. They will undergo further assessment to test their cognitive and psychomotor skills.

Important Note: The applicant will be the one who will shoulder the fees for succeeding tests in the selection process.

The applicant should prepare an amount of P15,000 for the assessment and aptitude test. But the amount stated shall be divided into different phases. Applicants are not required to pay the full amount but are required to pay per assessment that they will reach. Amount stated above is the overall amount to pay by the candidates if ever they pass all the assessments.

If ever an applicant passes the assessment, he/she will be invited for a final interview which will determine the first batch of aspiring cadet pilots.

The program aims to produce a total of 10 cadet pilots for the first batch. The Allstars Cadet Pilot Program will begin in March 2020. The application will end by 20 February 2020.

AirAsia will advance partial training costs for AirAsia employees who are accepted into the program.

Successful graduates of the program will be given an opportunity to work with AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline for 11 consecutive years.
